Sunday Morning and All is Quiet

Wow who would have thought that one puppy could turn my world and house upside down!!!

We picked Sophia up on Wednesday..  She was as good as gold on the 3 hour car trip home.  The first night was a tough one but she has now settled in to only getting up once in the night.  Great for me getting my beauty sleep and let me tell you, at my age I NEED it....

Now that she is adjusting  to us and my grandkids,  with each passing day we notice new and many unwanted behaviors, yet I think I am prepared to deal with alot of them.  Thanks to all the members on DK, because with out your posts, I would be lost.  I have discovered that these little bundles of joy, all seem to go through the same stages...at the roughly the same time.  They can be sweet and innocent one moment and pure EVIL  the next.

My time on DK has been severly limited and my mornings, days and nights are no longer my own... Would I change it no way!!!!     Love my doodle!!!!

So here it is Sunday morning.  Sophia and the girls are fast asleep, I am enjoying my coffee and me time out on the deck.. Life is Good.

Puppies are a really good diet plan, they keep you so busy you forget to eat. Anytime you can sneak in some me time is a wonderful treat. You think you love her now, just wait, you'll love her more everyday. I wish I had been as patient and tolerant when my son was little as I am with the doodle.

ah...hugs, I know what you mean by beauty sleep, but the good thing is when I have Lilly, noone is lookin' at me. Well, not that anyone has for years:) Not complaining I love being at this stage in my life. However yesterday the guy across the street said "Lilly sure has a pretty face" and I replied, blinking my eyes and tossing back my hair "Just like her mama"..I may have to go to the doctor for my neck.

So glad that it is going well.  You are correct about stages - Stuart is on my last good nerve right now as he will eat ANYTHING.  I have taken snails out of his mouth today as we have had a bunch of rain.  He'll eat sticks, paper, plastic - anything, oh and shoes!  LOL   Arrrgggg.

Sounds like a wonderful Sunday morning.  It's those little "me" moments that help you get through the days and nights of the puppy stage.  Sophia is such a little cutie.  Can't wait to see more pictures of her.
