Pippin is 71/2 months, full of energy and mischief, rambunctious and funny and overall just a wonderful dog to have in the home.  The past week however, we've been thinking of shipping him back (not really, but I'm sure you know the feeling  :)  Pudding poos', total disregard for any commands, chewing the kitchen table, stealing everything, mouthy mouthy mouthy and the list goes on.  I gave him a bully stick tonight during dinner, as we had guests.   The poor guy went frantic, chewing as hard and fast as he could and as far back into his mouth as possible.  I got a good look at his gums, and sure enough, red and sore and still more teeth poking through.  Those adult molars are going to be big!  Just when I thought teething was over, it looks like we are in for another round.

You have my sympathy, Jess, 'cause Lachlan's right there with Pippin! 8 months old and teething again like mad. I've been giving him bully sticks and frozen kongs to help, but when he doesn't have those to chew on he just goes nuts grabbing everything in hey, gimme back my cellphone sight!

Jess, I can relate with the sudden onslaught of bad behaviour, but I don't think my doodle is still teething. Aren't our doodles entering teenager stage soon?

BruceGirl, what an awesome Idea

Wet a cotton sweat sock, tie it in a knot and put it in the freezer.  Awesome for teething - has the right amount of give and the coldness is soothing.  It was a life saver for us!
