The Cone of Shame

Toby was neutered on Monday. I felt really bad for him but I know it is the right thing to do as I don't intend to breed him. Procedure went well and vet even said that dogs don't even have to wear the cone of shame as they don't really bother the incision . Well.... I went to pick him up and he looked like a satellite TV dish . Of course my dog ( "this is the worst dog ") would need one. And they even said two weeks! Two !! He already ate through the first cone after day one so had to take him back yesterday for second bigger cone ( now can communicate with planet Mars). He is in good spirits though. Funny, he is really enjoying sitting on the ice/snow outside. Lol.

Bodi hated the cone of shame.  We took it off of him when we could keep a close eye on him.  We would block off the living room doorways and sit on the floor with him.  I'm sure Toby will heal quickly!!

Awww...poor Toby...hope you feel better soon and can get rid of your 'cone of shame' sooner rather than later:)

Aw Toby!  Some folks put underwear on the dog to cover the incision, that might work.  We were lucky, Quincy left it alone after awhile.  Good luck, and feel better, Toby!  We are going to have a play date one of these days!
