Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

After much reflection and agonizing whether to do a tree this year or not with my now six month old Labradoodle Toby in residence , we opted to do a tree - just an artificial one and not a real one . The temptation will be great as it is without adding the whole real deal factor. I know how he loves to chew on the tree branches outside and attack my pink flowers. So for the first time in 20 years we went with artificial - with built in lights - whole lot easier . I only caught him in the tree once so far . Have to be more vigilant - like a hawk but at least my house has the touch of the Christmas spirit . Also got my holiday cards ready which include our Toby. So happy to share this Holliday season with my furry baby.

I am so happy that our dogs ignore our trees, except for their tails swinging too close to the branches. I bet next year will be even better! Happy Holidays!

We are lucky that Darwin pretty much ignores the tree - although his enthusiastic tail wag can knock ornaments down at times! Happy holidays!!

Merry Christmas to you and Toby!  I suggest an ex-pen around the tree when you can't watch him!

I know what you mean. Preston want to chew everything.  I went with an artificial tree and bought all new shatterproof ornaments.   The tree skirt was left off and no ornaments on the bottom 3 ft. of the tree.  Yesterday he pulled the plug on the tree lights and chewed the cord in half.  A good thing he pulled the plug or I'd have a very curly instant of a wavy one.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!
