The Goldendoodle won "Best in Show"

Subaru sponsored a dog show today and I took Webber.  Out of aproximately 50 dogs, he got into the final five.  There was an absolutely adorable Goldendoodle there that I couldn't stop watching...he was so cute!  The prizes were $150.00 gift certificates to Target for two winners; Best in Show and Most Photogenic, and another $50.00 prize for Best Personality.  The Goldendoodle took Best in Show, Most Photogenic was captured by a Bulldog with reindeer antlers on, and Best Personality went to a really cute little dog that "talked" into the microphone and sounded like she was singing.  There was a wonderful buffet table and lots of give away items like travel water bowls, shopping bags and dog tags.  Subaru is very active in supporting the ASPCA.

I LOVE that a doodle won! That is so great! Now others are recognizing what fabulous dgs these designer "mutts" are. ( not my words!) Thanks for sharing.

It was lots of fun,  and is an annual event, so we will be there next year.  I shared all about Doodle Kisses with the Goldendoodle owner.  She didn't know about us.  I know that she got Kwigley in Massachusets.  The Bull dog, Fenwick, was hysterical...huffing and puffing and waddling  He was a happy dog.  There were great danes, and enormous Newfies, a Golden, little poodles and terriors and a lot of rescue doggies.  One couple wanted the name of Webber's breeder.  You know those people who turn their nose up about doodles and the cost?  Well this fan told me what the cost and I verified it.  She was talking like she was going home to call and get her own.  I love to take Webber to events where he can show off his obedience and the tricks that he does,,,,especially where there are "pure bred dogs".  I loved that a Doodle won too :-)
