These are a few of my favorite things

[Frannie & Callie]

I put a comment on a picture today. It was of an adorable doodle named Bernie and the picture featured his fantastic nose. That made me start thinking about my favorite parts of Callie, and made me curious if there were people who felt the same way, even if it wasn't on the same doodle part.

For me it's the nose. I love Callie's nose so much that it is ridiculous. It's huge. It's black. It's shiny. She has allergies so it's frequently runny. I don't care. There's just something about that nose that makes me melt inside. I kiss her on it all the time. My sister and I have conversations about Callie's nose (thankfully, she understands how I feel. She felt the same way about her late great miniature schnauzer, Winnie). If I wrote poetry, I would probably write an "Ode to a Doodle Nose". Callie is of course adorable from head to paw, but it's the nose that gets me every time.

So, if you read this and have a part of your beloved doggie that just makes you feel happy whenever you see it, chime in!

I LOVE THE NOSE TOO! And Samson's eyes are so beautiful that I believe he talks to me thru those eyes. My hubby makes him "talk" and I answer him....lol, very funny!

I agree..it's the nose. I will kiss Timbow on his nose whether it's runny or muddy. lol. I also love his ears, they're so floppy.

I am SO happy to hear that you share my doodle-part mania! Callie also has great ears. She's getting a silver stripe on the front of them. She seems to have a "mood" coat...looks different all the time. I also adore those long straight legs. She's just delicious!

I gotta go with the Nose too -- Especially Lucy's big black one! I'm always grabbing her little cheeks and saying "Let me kiss that big ole black doodle nose" ...... don't know what it is, but I love it!

I love the streaky colors of Ned's ears too. They used to be red and now they are light apricot but they have streaks running through them that are so cool.

Besides just loving her nose too, I love her ears. I love to quietly play with them while she lays next to me with her head on my lap. Their soft, wavy, silky and floppy. She has a streak of white hairs going down the sides that just adds to their beauty! (I'll have to take a picture and add it on.)
