We got Hitched

Well.. The first step for us is getting a Doodle is moving out of our cozy apartment and into a larger space. Before the financial burden of moving can happen, we had planned to get married. So the way I look at it, we're one step closer to getting our beloved Doodle! 

We got married this past weekend in my hometown, outside on a golf course. The weather was perfect and we couldn't ask for anything more to complete our day... Except a Doodle. 

I thought a dog would be a perfect addition to our photos..

But we had to do without.. Even though I think it's a pretty reasonable thought to 'rent' a model dog- I wouldn't want to make our future pup jealous with the pictures :) 

And with an outdoor wedding, it would have been so much easier to have our companion be a part of our ceremony. 

We wrote our own vows, which was something I was excited for but I didn't realize the challenge until we dove in. I wanted the vows to have similar tones, to be serious, with a personal touch. So yes, the following line came straight from my mouth during our vows: 

"I promise we'll build a house of love, honesty and encouragement, whether or not it includes a Goldendoodle." 

(my Husband actually insisted I add something about Doodlekisses.. ha)

With delaying any further.. I wanted to share the first photo of the day.. Sorry we won't be swooning over puppy fur and big paws :) 

(and yes, I love the color orange.. it will be the color of our dog's collar!)

We got our Zoe a month after we got married and we love her to pieces.  I would suggest to take your time because the puppy will consume your lives and you may never get that honeymoon stage back!  LOL
