Banjo and I took a long walk this morning on our heavily sanded road.   Fortunately, because we live by the lake our road isn't salted too.    On returning home I did my best to clean his paws and legs of the wet sand.   UGH!!!   What a mess!

I decided that his paws and legs needed a good trimming.  So I brought out a nice frozen Kong and the vacuum cleaner.

I would stop and vacuum up the trimmings and sandy mess as I went.   Luckily Banjo isn't bothered by the vacuum.   Well, one thing led to another and I figured while I was at it I'd take some of the length off his whole body.   I used the vacuum to pull the hair away from him and cut as I went along.  I think I remember some TV advertisement for hair cutting like this many years ago!    Banjo was great!   He seemed only mildly annoyed that I chose to do this while he was trying to enjoy his peanut butter/oatmeal Kong.   And the floor is pretty clean of fur and sand now!  I just love this guy for being so patient with me!!!

I've heard of doodle owners who use the Flowbee or the other similar product to groom. SO COOL that he doesn't mind the vacuum sucking off his fur :-)  Rosco would freak out!

Banjo sounds like a great dog! He might even deserve another Kong :)
