So the other day I checked my home email while I was taking a break at work ... to find an email from Pokémon Customer Service as follows:

Dear parent or guardian,

Your child has begun the process to create a Pokémon Trainer Club account at Pokemon.com. With this account, your child will be able to sign into Pokemon.com and the Pokémon Global Link website. The process cannot be completed without your consent as a parent or guardian. To give consent for your child's Pokémon Trainer Club account, click on the button below.

 

Etc. for several paragraphs ...

Now, the only children in my house have four paws and an excess of fur. Hmmm. I've got this visual in my head now, of Lachlan and Pixel side-by-side in my computer chair ... Pixel typing furiously while Lachlan wags his tail ...

 

Pixel: Ooooh, Pokémon! Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon!

Lachlan: Yayyyy! Does it taste nice?

Pixel (under his breath): What a dweeb.

Pixel: Gonna get an account! (type type type type type)

Pixel: Dang, it sent mum an email. Look, Lachlan, when mum gets home I'm gonna pretend I just woke up from sleeping all day and you ... well, you just look stoopid, okay?

Lachlan (licking Pixel's face): Yayyyy!

Pixel (under his breath): Dweeb.

Hilarious!  About a year ago, my old cat recieved a credit card from a major bank in the mail.  They had some egg on their face when I called and told them that Mr. Chi C. Reed was my dearly departed (for two years) cat ChiChi!
