What Warms my Heart....

I don't know what is changing lately. Peri and Taquito have gotten along and loved each other almost as soon as Peri came home in June 2009. 

 

However, since we moved into the new house, they are bonding differently than usual.  They cuddle on the couches together!  They NEVER did this when we lived in the condo.  We come home from work - up the stairs from the garage (so they hear us coming with the garage door opening) and into the playroom/office where they stay during the day and there they are!  Just snuggling on the couch together. Some days they are on the big couch cushions. Some days, like yesterday, they are on the top of the back cushions so they can see out through the windows better. Last night they were cuddled up together and just looked at me like "oh, hey...you're home!".  I wanted to get a photo, but of course, they do end up stretching and getting up to greet me.

 

What's going on?  They cuddle all the time now.  Very sweet. 

 

Here is a photo of them in the den (not playroom where they stay when we are not home).  I was cooking and found them just chillin' out together.  So odd....I am happy they love each other, it really warms my heart!  I just never thought they would be so attached.

That's amazing. They are so sweet. I'm still waiting for the day that Sophie Bear and Penelope the kitty cuddle together. The best I can get is them sleeping in the same room...

How awesome that they will cuddle together.  I have caught Rua & PuffDog (the cat) sitting on a bench together or both on the back of the couch, but not laying down snuggling together.  I really don't want to have to move for that to happen.  LOL

Maybe the unfamiliarity of their new surroundings has caused them to stay closer to each other for comfort?

Whatever the reason for the change, they sure do look adorable together on that couch!

We made many moves (from state to state) with our little toy poodle and it never seemed to affect her until the last move when we went from CT to FL.  For several months after that move she stayed under the dining room table whenever we weren't home.  She laid there so much the carpeting finally had sort of an oily look to it.  None of the other moves seemed to have any impact on her at all.  I'm guessing that they are getting comfort from each other.  It is very sweet though.
