What Would I do Without my Peri???

I have been MIA lately....sick as a dog (is that a good term to use, really??)!

 

Anyway, I think last night was the worst. My cold was terrible and I was just crying in bed. Could not get comfortable.  DH said he was going to the couch to sleep and that made me more upset :( 

 

Just as I was at my wit's end and thought I would be up all night, Peri jumped onto the bed and got RIGHT next to my head and licked me.  I started petting her and fell asleep within minutes (according to DH). He came to bed and she moved down so he could sleep in her spot. 

 

She did her job.  Comforted her mama.  She is my therapy dood :) 

 

What would we do without these wonderful doodles??????

I know just what you mean.  I am usually not sick, but I was very sick with bone density medications.  I was in bed in pain for two days and my dear Hondo was right there with me.  He was my therapy dog.  If he (or I) was feeling sick, he would get right up next to me and comfort me.  He had a lot of sick days because of his liver failure and he would sneak quietly into bed and lie right next to me.  Never said a thing, but I knew he was feeling poorly.  He was my best dog ever.

Maybe you'll just have to start calling her Dr. Peri instead of Lady Peri, lol.

I don't know what we would do without these doods, I was sick last week, and it was Oliver that stayed and comforted me when I needed it most...They are the best.  Hope you are feeling better, Ihad the flu, so it was a real nightmare, for several days, still recovering,,Get well soon, please...

Duncan did the same for me the other day...i was sick and in bed crying too. Just felt so awful and in the middle of the afternoon needed to go lay down. He crawled in the bed right by my face and we nuzzled together for a few hours. I woke up feeling so much better. Doodles are the best medicine:) Peri....you are a good girl!
