Where is the video camera when you need it??

Since there was none at that time, figures doesn't it, you need to close your eyes to picture this.

Samantha, Charli and I went to dinner at Barbara, Lee and Lexi's house to see their foster, Zeke, and to have dinner. The 4 doodles had a wonderful time playing chase around the pool, playing ball and being doodles.

After dinner, we are sitting outside on a lovely Southern Florida evening. Lee is throwing the ball and all 4 are chasing it.

THEN...

the ball drops into the pool. My big, brave (so not!!) Samantha decided to walk into the pool to get it before Zeke does except there were no steps under her. I grab her by the collar, show her the steps and out she walks.

THEN

Charli decides to see what Samantha had done and she walked in. I showed her the steps and she gets out.

THEN

I turned my back on Samantha (HUGE mistake) as I try to keep Charli out of the pool. Samantha decided since she didn't get the ball out of the pool she would go back in to get it.

THEN

Charli decided to go back in for one last dip.

Okay, when you stop laughing at my dilemna, turn on your sense of smell and smell this

40 minute drive home with 2 damp, smelly doodles.

My day tomorrow - 2 doodles will be getting a bath, my car needs to be washed and aired out and I have to go to the laundromat to wash clothes. Jealous yet??

Here are the 4 doodles - Lexi, the blonde; Samantha, the chocolate; Charli, the black;

and Zeke, apricot and Barbara and Lee's first foster.

How funny. I could picture it in my mind's eye while reading.

TOO FUNNY! Sure wish we could see it. But I DO empathize on that wet smelly doodle thing.

No, of course she didn't get combed yesterday. That wouldn't have been as much fun for them. TG i had 2 huge bones in the tiny fridge we have in this apartment! Charli didn't move a muscle during the 2+ hour combing date we just finished. I still have to get them to the do-it-yourself doggey wash.

Trying to fit it in around Zeke going to his wonderful forever home in the Floriday Keys Sunday and having to pull another doodle in Vero Beach. DH is in NJ and not back until Sunday, TG It's raining doodles! But a wonderful busy!

Hopefully you gave them a good brushing before going to dinner because there is nothing worse than an unexpected bath where you didn't get to brush them out first! Gotta agree, glad it wasn't mud as your car would have been an even worse mess.

There is always a bright side - no mud, fond memories, a busy day and the seidman's got such a laugh! This morning so did I.

Funny story- while it lasted anyway. Your day is certainly carved out with two baths- don't forget the video camera.

Oh, but it sounds like the Doodles had a blast, and it is all about the Doods. LOL Look at the bright side....at least it was clean water and NO MUD.

I had swimmer children. When I picked them and their friends up after practice, my car would reek of chlorine - gee you brought back fond, but smelly memories.
