Heck, if we can't swim Bella, we can run! Let's go!

 

 

It looks like we might be filling the pool within the week and this would be the last time we could take a picture of them in an empty pool. Will be fun to look back on someday.  I figured I better start showing them how to go down the steps safely before curiosity got the best of them and they jumped in at the deep end.  Not a good idea just yet.

 

Next will be training them to only go in when I invite them.....That ought to be interesting!!!

Sue - here's a tip I got from Rooney's breeder regarding the swim at invite only issue (never needed for my water hater Rooney) but this is how I'm teaching Stuart.  The key is that the collar comes off when they are allowed in the pool.  If their collar is on - no swimming.  My boys do wear collars always unless in their ex-pen or crate so this should work.  What do you think?

This was such a great way for them to get used to stairs, and just be comfortable with the pool in general (minus water!) I'm so excited for them, they're going to looove this pool!

I bet you are so excited! How lucky you and the dogs are to have a pool. It is over 95 degrees here and all Fudge and Vern have is a stinkin' sprinkler...LOL!
