So I start walking down the trail at the dog park and I meet a nice lady and we start talking. Another lady comes by and joins in our chat. We are having a wonderful conversation when this man comes walking towards us and he has a "chuck it" in his hand and is playing with his dog. He is only a couple of feet away when he decides to chuck a frozen tennis ball (apparently over our heads) and hits the lady right in the head. Point blank shot!

Poor lady grabs her head and the idiot asks if she is OK. She sort of nods but you can tell that it really hurts. He starts to explain how he meant to throw it over our heads but all he had to do was walk another 3 feet past us. It is a wide trail so he had lots of room. The other lady says that she will walk her to her car to make sure she is all right and off they go. The idiot continues on his walk.

I don't understand how some adults can be SO stupid!

I guess you can't teach common sense! What a thoughtless person!

It never ceases to amaze me how stupid some people can be. I hope that lady is okay, getting hit in the head like that can be really dangerous.

Oh, I've maintained for a long time that some bipeds are far, far too dumb to have dogs. This guy is a prime example!

Oh man...and it probably came at her superfast from the chuck it! That's terrible. I love our chuck it, but unless you're lucky enough to sling it just right EVERY time, you're going to do a dud every now and again (or more LOL)...why would you chance it with people in the line of fire??? Karma.... ;)

"I have problems with the chuck it so I make sure that I am no where near anyone. You really need a masters degree in order to throw it without hurting your arm"
This could have written by me; when they passed out coordination, I must have been getting my nails done or something. I leave the Chuck-it to my grandson and throw the ball the old fashioned way.
There are lots of stupid people at dog parks, but this is the first post I've seen where the stupidity ended up causing an injury to a person and not a dog.

My husband used to sit in the kitchen at the table watching TV and Gracie would bring him her tennis ball or whatever ball she could find. He would throw it and bounce it off the refrigerator and Gracie would catch it in the air. This would go on and on every night. Occassionally the ball would bounce funny and one night it hit his freshly opened RED wine bottle on the counter. Red wine went everywhere...white grout counter and my sea grass rug. Since then I have put a stop to all ball playing in the house. We just got all new applicances and granite counters. They still seem to sneak a ball in but there is no throwing. Now I just have to contend with the ball that Gracie likes to dip in the water bowl, roll in the dirt and bring in and out her doggie door. That along with the foamy spit rolling along my white carpets really gets me going!!!! See, you don't need a chuck it to destroy a house!!

Believe me...I use a chuck it every day and there is a method to it's madness!!!!

I took a chuck it to a park and when I went to throw the ball (no humans or dogs where I was throwing it) it fell right in front of me and bumped another dog on the back. I was so embarrassed. This guy does sound stupid though!
