Why I Love a Pack

You know. . .this picture says it all. Even though it is only 3 out of the 5. . . it's the heart and commaraderie in a pack that makes it so special to me. Just like your best group of girlfriends. . .there is always someone to play with, someone to chew on a stick with. . .and when it's dark and stormy there is always someone to cuddle up to and make everything okay. Our pack is very young with only one of the "first generation" still around. That would be Sherlock. . .he is the old man. . .at age 11 he is well past playing with the pups, but he enjoys sitting on the deck and watching them and if things get too out of control he will bust it up in a heartbeat and haul someone off to time out!!!!

Hoot and Tallulah are 13 and 11 months. . .still all puppy without the puddles and the chewing!!! But, they are amazing foster parents and big siblings. . .they truly show them the ropes. They are great playmates and babysitters!!!!! And then of course there are Billabong (4 months) and Finn (2 months) who are just learning about life in the pack. . .Billabong is a better listener than Finn, as Finn thinks he is the pack leader and demands that everyone listen to him!!!!
Speaking of Finn we had a wonderful night last night. Crying was down to about 5 minutes. . .and lo and behold. . .he did not poop on himself!!!!!!!!!!!! Can I get an Amen on that one from the crowd!!!!!! And he used his wee pad in the play pen instead of his bedding to take a tinkle. . .. and he actually was still asleep when I came downstairs. Another Amen!!!!!!

We have 5 permanent. . .we generally have fosters in fact, Billabong was our last and it was quickly decided that he must stay!!!! However, we don't generally do that. . .anyway, until the two pups are older and fully vaccinated and altered we won't have any fosters living with us.. . we will still do pulls and transports though.

That is an adorable picture!So you have 5 dogs? That must be a lot of work albeit happy work. I am intrigued by the flooring in the picture..did you do that!? I reallly like it. Very artistic.
