We have noticed that our goldendoodle Jedi enjoys watching our family playing wii games. He watches the screen so intently actually noticing when things move and all that. He loves some of the Wii Play games like the tanks game and the target shooting game. He likes bowling and tennis on Wii Sports. Well today while we were playing wii tennis Jedi was being a noisy annoying little dude. He walked right in front of the a game of tennis and SMACK! He got a wii remote right in the head. The noise was so loud. As soon as it happened I rushed towards him and kissed him and paid attention to him and he was good as new. He was wagging his tail licking me. A little love can fix almost anything I always say.

We don't have a Wii yet, but have already been warned by someone who does that the dog gets in the middle because they think you are playing with them, not the TV. Then again, Moose notices whenever there is an animal on the screen....cartoon or real....and goes nuts. So I can only imagine what will happen when the Wii games come on. My two have smacked their own heads running into cabinets and they play very rough together, so I have no worries that the Wii remote will do much damage.....except maybe to the remote itself. :)

Lucy got smacked in the back by my husband with the Wii remote the other night (bowling-he landed a strike despite hitting her). I freaked out, he freaked out, Lucy was 100% fine. She's a tough doodle. I think she just wanted to be involved in the action!

That's too funny, we have two young children, 27 and 16 months and they've gotten a few whacks before...but the dogs don't seem to be too interested, if we are playing boxing or something with a lot of movement than they are jumping around and wanting to play!

I cant not tell how many times we (never me but others) have smacked the dogs with the Wii remotes! We have a rule now...Dogs upstairs when we Wii, just like No Wii'ing on the sofa, you must stand to Wii.
My Nephew got Jordan really good right on the side of her head, she yipes...he looks at me scared (he knows she is my baby) that's when we put the rule in place.
Why is it that dogs like to right in the middle of Wii action?
