Will a summer cut bring summer weather?

After 7 months Gavin finally got a trip to the groomer.  I encouraged her to take it short.  Spring is a time of renewal and shedding all that is unnecessary after all.  Plus I figured a summer cut may bring us warmer weather.

Before:

Two and three quarters hours and $40 plus tax (and a really good tip) later:

I think he is 10 lbs lighter and faster with his tennis ball!

I love my groomer!  Now come on summer!

We've lost about 2 feet of snow in the last couple of days, my front lawn is now bare. I think it's working.

Gavin is very handsome and your groomer is terrific - she even got his face right.

Is it working? I have clippers and I'm not afraid to use them. Well, yes I am but for summer I'm willing to give it a try.

Awwwww....Gavin you look so handsome!   Banjo got his summer cut today...and it didn't bring spring weather : (

but......he looks and feels wonderful!   I actually prefer his "scruffy beachboy" look....but he sure is looking daper!

Thanks for the great feedback everyone!  I can't keep my hands off him.  His peaches and cream coat feels like a chenille blanket.  I know I am very lucky to have a good groomer that is so reasonable.  It is about a 30 minute drive to a small farming community where she has her own shop.  She works alone and is super sweet to boot.  Gavin loves going there.

@Nancie - he is an F1 GD and is 67 lbs.  He is 28 inches at the shoulder and is fairly thin.  He says thanks for the Gracie-doole hug!

Hey BG...that is a fantastic hair cut Gavin got!  Your groomer is a real keeper and the price was great!!!  I had to take a double take when I saw his picture.  He has the exact same body frame as Gracie Doodle and it looks like the same tail.  Even his face...he looks like he could be Gracie's twin brother.  How much does he weigh?  Gracie will be 4 years old May 18th, is a Standard F1 GD and weights 73 lbs!  I just groomed her two weeks ago and she is about the same length as Gavin right now.  Give him a big hug from Gracie Doodle!  :)
