Zeb is home
zeb has been home almost 24 hours. she is so calm and happy and very aware of what i am doing but relaxed and calm. she walks really well on a leash. i have been working on her with the leash following advice from one of the videos from kikopups youtube channel and she almost always just walks in a heel position now! i think she may have picked up fleas from my cat or maybe she came home with fleas so i guess i need to take care of that. she see's the veterinarian in morning for a well puppy checkup and i can ask about options then. everything has gone smoother and easier than expected so far with the one exception of my cat who is much more upset than i had anticipated. i need to work on that and hopefully eventually feline and canine may be friends. i am really pleased that it seems everything the breeder told me about her personality is very much true. anyhow the first day with zeb has been very nice. tomorrow she will be 4 months old.

zeb hasn't chased our cat at all she is afraid of the cat. the cat stalks zeb! we have a trainer coming who has experience with cat dog issues so hopefully that will help.

Welcome home Zeb and congrats! whatever you do don't wait too long on the cat thing! My older dog chases it so he's always upstairs and the younger one likes him and protects him by getting Chloe to stop jumping at his gate. So make it a priority and make it a blended family if possible among all the other things you have to do with a puppy. The vet can give you some suggestions on that also. Good luck!

Zeb, welcome! It's great around here, your mom will find out how to feed you the best things and give you the greatest treats AND find the fun toys to play with. Of course there are the tortorous photo shoots and brushings but you get those then you get tons of LOVE, that is the best!
