So you have become identified not as Nancy and Benny, but rather Bisbee's humans? Chuckle. I can only imagine the attention your lovely boy commands while out and about = )
Good morning! Nope puppies did not sleep in the shower BUT that is one of Ella's favorite places when she wants to hide out. As I am sitting at the computer right now I just saw her head in there = ) She runs and romps and cuddles but when they all go their separate ways for a doggie nap at least 75% of the time that is where you will find Ella. Joy also LOVES the shower, but not for sleeping in ~ she trys to sneak in there all the time if I am in there.
Planning a doodle romp at the Winter Springs dog park next Saturday at 10 am, we would love to have you join us!
Tough stuff Nancy.... So glad you have that wonderful boy with you to soak up the love in your heart and the tears in your eyes. Bisbee is as lucky to have you and Benny as you feel to have him. Happy Friday Eve!
Nancy....thanks for the well wishes....! I'm sure I'll have a great weekend, but will always be thinking of the kiddo's and doodles at home....I do tend to worry a bit!
My mom should have an exciting weekend......
Take care, and have a great weekend yourself!
Nancy, Benny and Bisbee ~ my heart aches for you on your Sunday venture. I am so glad that the 'bittersweet' carried a dose of present sweet for you. I am also so glad that our paths have crossed and that you did not wait to add love to a space feeling vacant in your hearts. I think sometimes of your R and wonder that he would not be so very happy that your are sharing your wonderful hearts, so much love to give ~ I could not have asked for a better family for our little charmer. Your little guy had visited my workplace often and carried the power to make grown men talk baby talk to him. You already know that though right? No coincidences ~ ever, I am grateful we all listened to the tug on our hearts.
I also am happy to have shared this network with you. I could never have begun to guess the destination our journeys would lead to. I feel so incredibly blessed to share these moments with you, to call you friends and even family. All of your families have had a profound impact on the hearts of all the Carters. On what we have shared, like the commercial says ~ "priceless". Hugs to all of you!
P.S. Trying to plan a doodle romp for a week from Saturday, I will send you details in case you are able to join us =)
Hi Nancy......Yes, Tannor continues to flourish on the Origen! No upset tummies from it, and no loose stools! So, it's all working out well.....
I am traveling to San Antonio this coming weekend for a few days to visit my husband. He is running in a marathon there, and I want to cheer him on.......
Have a great week!
Hi Nancy,
I think I will like the Origen now that I have found a store that carries it..! It seems like a really good food!
We are feeding the Large breed puppy food right now, and will continue to feed that for awhile.
It was a short meeting between my husband and Tannor..he wasn;t here that long..so, they really weren't able to "bond". Kodie remembered my husband and they have a good connection...so, I imagine in time Tannor will have the same connection. My husband will be home again for Thanksgiving for a week, then in again in December for 2 weeks during Christmas. I think each visit will bring them closer together...! Tannor is a love bug, and it is hard not to return the love he gives and all the slobbery kisses.
I hope all is well with you and your family! It sounds like Benny and Bisbee are 2 peas in a pod now...:)
Have a great rest of the week.......!
Hi Nancy ~ been thinking of the three of you today. I read your post about the beach, I know the visit must have been bittersweet for you. Memories of happiness in another chapter and glory in the one you are in. Had you been back to the beach since R? Did Bisbee love it? Well my friend I just wanted you to know you were in my thoughts.
P.S. I simply must find out where the feed store is that you are getting Orijen.
Hello....
Yes, I know, I keep finding things I should do also....I am trying to get most of my "to do" list done...then there is the "big" cleaning day on Thursday....that should be fun!
Maybe you should try Bisbee on the C.N. Lamb/rice puppy food. I know some dogs have an allergy to chicken. I have Kodie and Tannor the C.N. chicken/rice puppy...and, also the C.N. lamb/rice puppy formula. I switch them up to get different proteins in them....but, if Bisbee is scratching try the Lamb formula, that is suppose to be more tolerable of a protein.
Kodie was born 1/8/08....so, she's around 8 1/2 months right now....the vet is thinking she'll be around 70 lbs. when she is finished growing.....? we'll see....she has a big appetite and loves to eat! I think Tannor is jealous of Kodie...everytime I pet Kodie, or give her any sort of attention...Tannor will run over and bite my arm..? If I give Kodie and Tannor a biscuit at the same time...Tannor will drop his and go take Kodie's...right out of her mouth..! He's SO silly....! He's a comedian....I bet Bisbee is also!
Alright...have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Hi Nancy....Boy, I am sure Benny will be happily suprised with Bisbee...he's adorable! If he's "anything" like Tannor..he's a happy-go-lucky sort of guy.....!
Yes, Tannor does the "jumping" also to greet anybody, and everybody....that is crazy isn't it...! They are love bugs and want to hug everyone....
I really just getting Tannor bathed...and NO trimming, except on his belly, and around his little bottom area. I think they call it a "sanitary" trim....
I don't want to have anyone trim him.....I'm afraid they would do a "poodle" cut....and, I'm really not a huge fan of that......I think Tannor looks very handsome all shaggy!
Kodie is weighing around 62-64 lbs now....but, she's "big-boned".
What food are you feeding Bisbee...?
Have a great weekend! I have lots to do around here before the husband ( Alex ) comes home on the 17th!
Take Care Nancy!
Hi Nancy & Bisbee! Zeke, my husband and I are currently on vacation to visit our 4 grandchildren who live in New Mexico. Our drive from NW Georgia was our first experience with Zeke on a long trip. He has just done great! We planned a system of stopping at rest areas every 2 hours to potty and run and this has worked well. One of the reasons we wanted to bring Zeke on this trip was to meet our autistic 6yr. old grandson. Both have done pretty good with each other. Both are highly excitable and take a few minutes to settle down after meeting for the first time during day. I've been very proud of the way Zeke has behaved with all the children ages 8,6,3 & 7months. He especially likes to lick the baby's toes. Bye for now. Susan
Hi Nancy...sorry...it's been awhile! This time of year I get so busy at my son's School. I art docent for his class....I help with the fall carnival....plus the regular volunteering in his classroom. It does get a bit overwhelming...I need to take out time for me during the day, so I go to the gym for an hour and get the cobwebs out of my head. I usually take the Doodles to the dog park in the morning for an hour after I drop my son off for School.
"Tannor" is doing great, and getting big! he's about 43 lbs now. He's pretty much potty trained at this point....Yeah!
My husband is in the military and has not met Tannor yet...he is stationed right now in San Antonio, Texas. He will be home next Friday for a week...then he will be able to meet Tannor. I have a mobile groomer coming over next Wed. to bathe, brush, and blow dry Tannor to get him clean!
He gets so dirty...and, it's so easy to see on him! Bisbee probably doesn't even look dirty when he is....!
Alright....I'll write more soon!
Take Care.....Marcia and Tannor
Hmmm, there you are! It is midnight do you know where your doodle is? Well of course you do ~ he is probably sound asleep as are all of the doodles here ~ just like WE should be!
It is funny, I find myself getting so excited for Bisbee and Benny to officially meet. You must be about to burst with joy! I absolutely cannot wait to hear those new stories.
Good morning! I trust you and Bisbee are enjoying a magnificent weekend, oh where oh where does that weekend go? I so love being home with all of the doodles on the weekends. Hunter and Benny will be passing each other by ~ as Benny heads south, Hunter heads north to join his family in Conn. I imagine he will have a little surprise with the climated change. Can't wait to see those doodle snow pics!
It will be interesting to hear how kitty and Bisbee make out. Is Bisbee getting much larger? I was petting one of the other babies this morning and recalled how I used to love running my fingers through Bisbee's magnificent coat. Has it grown much?
Well I suppose I have put off my 'to do' list long enough parked at the computer. Have a glorious day!
Hi, Nancy: Bisbee is a great looking boy! It sounds like you're both having a lot of fun and I had to laugh about the "chasing leaves" part on your page. Oaklee is still trying to figure out this magical thing called "wind"!
Like you, we lost a family member in the last year -- our almost 14yr old Choc Huskador, Hazel. If you visit my page, she's at the top right in the birthday hat with Ellie, our mini Cocker.
We're having a ton of fun with Oaklee and Ellie has taken her in like her own pup (for which we're VERY grateful)!
Will take new pics this weekend. Thank you for saying "hi" to us!
