About Me:: I am a dog lover. My husband and I own a backyard birdfeeding store and also carry Premium Edge dog and cat food in our store. We have raised 9 service dogs for Canine Companions for Independece (CCI). We took a break from the volunteer puppy raising and adopted two doodles for our own! They have been such joy. I work at an Instructional Designer for a Hospital and write computer software training! Not too exciting. I love to paint, garden, and I write a column for a local paper, The Broad Ripple Gazette. It is called Right in My Own Backyard so I can cover topics like dogs, cats, birds, plants, the world from my backyard. Check out our website, www.feedbackyardbirds.com

I am happy to meet doodle owners. They are special folks who know the joys of a dog.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: #1 - Jupter, golden retriever, rehome CCI service dog (80lbs)
#2 - Webster, white/tan goldendoodle from Maxine's Adorable Doodle in northern Wisconsin (56lbs)
#3 - Wrigley, red goldendoodle from Cowpounder Kennel in Peever, SD...Lorna Behme. He's 93 lbs and my bad boy!!!
We also have a store cat, Miss B. Ripple and a house cat, Toostie.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: We had a doodle then known as a poodle mix 30 years ago. Bear was such a grand dog and when we saw the doodles, we fell in love again. Plus, they do not shed.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Webster is our store dog and works every day as a greeter.
Wrigley is Delta Certified and is involved in the Paws to Read Program at the Library.

They both visit an assisted living home on a weekly basis.

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Wendy at the Good Dog Hotel and Spa. She does a wonderful cut that does not look like a poodle.
