My husband and I operate a horse boarding facility, as well as entertain five dogs including of course our goldendoodle (english cream cross)Lizzy Anne, our standard poodle, Marley, Spanky Roo, Jack Russel, JuJu a welsh corgi cross and Charlie a welsh corgi.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Lizzy will be one year old and her mother is a beautiful, docile English Cream from Europe, and her father is a golden Doodle. We are hoping to breed next year with our Standard. Both of them have great personalities, and am hoping that the cross will produce not only great pets, but also better non-shed retrievers as Lizzy is a born water retriever. Marley, although showing merit as an upland game dog, lacks girth for a water dog. Lizzy also has a larger muzzle for large game.
I think many people forget that many of these Doodles are not only cute as buttons and great pets, but are also an interest to the hunters.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We wanted a good over all pet, as well as a possible no shed field trail dog. She's ended up to be everything we hoped for!!!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Oh you are so sweet Ellen! How funny, my vacation to WI starts Oct 9th for a couple of weeks and we stay for a few days at the lake house not far from Ripon. Are the leaves changing nicely already, I am looking forward to taking some awesome pictures. The only thing I will miss are my pups not being there to share (I guess hubby a little too LOL)
Hi Ellen, I may just take you up on that if the sun ever shines again lol Sadie needs a little work on the leash yet but I think that would be fun one day.
Hi Ellen and welcome to DoodleKisses. I live in Kaukauna WI and have an F1 Labradoodle named Sadie, who is just 4 mos old now. Good to see another doodle owner in the area.
look at the list of groups on the groups page (see tab at the top of any page). then find the breeder group, click on the group and then click on 'request invite' and you'll get an email when i get your request. just click on the link you get in your email and voila! you can go back to the group and read and participate!
oooh interesting. you don't here of 3/4 retrievers much. how neat that she still doesn't shed--very unique!! Will be interesting to see what the litter looks like...theoretically should be like a regular F1 goldendoodle so you still might get a shedder, but it's just depends on how the genes line up. She's very pretty =) Do request an invite for the breeder's group--a great place to network with over 70 breeders and compare notes =)
Hi Ellie & Lizzy - It's just Fergie (and cathy too) saying have a nice weekend. Remember, I'll be gone at 4:55 a.m. tomorrow. Enjoy Warrens. Fergie is staying home to bond with Sarah while we are gone. - I'm nervous.
