I live in Old Town Alexandria (VA), just outside of Washington DC. My husband and I have two doodles, Fozzie (born May 2008) and Yogi (born July 2014). Both are F1 doodles with big personalities!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Fozzie, is an English Goldendoodle. We adopted him from The Paw Pad breeder in Central IL (we were living in Chicago at the time). Fozzie is a big, floppy muppet! He is very a affectionate little guy and relatively laid back boy. Fozzie loves playing fetch, riding in cars, romping with other dogs and snuggling with his mommy!
Yogi is also an F1 doodle (half English, half American). We adopted him from Doodlesville, a breeder in Southern Virginia. We've had him for just a few weeks at the time I am writing this. So far, he's an amazingly intelligent, confident and affectionate little boy. He is very eager to please and incredibly sweet. He loves his big brother Fozzie and follows him around everywhere.
Thanks for the pic Julie! I think Oz's hair may be a bit like Fozzie's.. Maybe a touch more wave to it.. But he has similar face whiskers.
Two doodles IS fun! They are very entertaining! I think mine are still trying to decide what to make of each other and their pack positions... There's a whole lot of back and forth with toys and beds and occasional barking (which I'm trying to put an end to fast!). But, we are still in the first week. I'm sure it'll get better soon right?? :)))
Hi Julie! Your doodles are so cute!! We've just gotten our second and his coat is a mystery to me. It's so different from his bio brother (who is 2yrs)! I saw a pic of a smaller (?) Fozzie in your photos.. He may have resembled my Oz.. "Ozzie" ;) do you happen to have any pics of Fozzie around 10wks old? I'll attach oz here...
Yeah, I wish..but Brooks is a licker down there...and the doc said she had to put it on him because he was already licking. I wish I could trust him, but I don't want to take it off and then have to put it right back on. I was thinking about putting a onesie on him...heard that works...but i just feel like he'll eat through it or something! The lampshade will probably have to stay! BOO!
Yes, we are Bears fans, as painful as it can be. Fozzie is a great name, too. Doodles remind me so much of muppets that Henson was on my short list of names.
Halas does mat. He didn't start until he was about 10 months old. I'm hoping he's just blowing his puppy coat, but it's taking forever. Right now, I'm back to brushing him about once per week, but there have been stretches where I have to brush him every day. I want to leave his coat long, but we'll see how it goes when summer starts. Last year, his coat was fully grown out yet, so it wasn't too bad if I kept up with the brushing. But I'm hoping to be able to take him swimming a lot this summer, and I may have to get him cut a little bit if that happens. We'll see - I love the long, shaggy coat.
hi julie =) (great name btw...) thank you so much for sharing your storyt. i talked to penny as well and it has just been so reassuring to hear that others have gone through the same first vet visit and then to go back a few weeks/months later and to find out it has gone away. i am praying nd believing it will be the same situation for taylor. fozzie is absolutely gorgeous and i'm sure you hear it all the time. it makes me want to get an english standard in the future! what is fozzie'sfavorite thing to do?
Thanks for the advice about the crate. You were right, our crate we had him in during the day was too big and we have fixed the problem. Yesterday while we were at work, he did not have an accident! I am going to hope the same for Monday when we go to work. Thanks agian.

Julie, Yogi is just precious! I love that scruffy look.
I was looking at old posts and wondered what Yogi looks like now? Any new pictures?
