About Me:: T.J. Niemeyer & I are fostering two F1 LDoods. We're both sort of retired. Haven't had a dog since a foster I'd had for 7 yrs had to be euthanized. I love to walk, hike & camp & don't enjoy it w/o a dog. Since weather's changing & we aren't doing much in the yard, I've started walking again. Yadkin Co is a largely rural, conservative 'different' county that has never liked outsiders (I grew up here) and voted against RR's coming thru decades ago but beautiful & peaceful with many good people

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: When Jacquie sent Urgent email re 2 dogs in SC needing fosters, TJ and traveled to Lynda Strommers & picked up Midnight & Daisy, bro/sis, @5 yrs. Midnight has severe hip problems and his body is distorted from yrs of compensating to reduce pain. Sweet dogs. Have 3 Manx cats - accustomed to dogs

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: After decades of having Samoyeds and TJ and I having a lab mix here (hair all over) I decided I wanted something with less shedding, great personality and the cuter the better -- can't get cuter than a doodle

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: These Doodles have walked the Nature Trail at the Y, country road to see cows/bull across the lake, etc. I take them most places with me in the car. We don't have as much 'living room' watching TV, etc with them b/c they have never been around cats

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Very little grooming is necessary--Midnight has to be bathed in special shampoo 2/wk until his skin clears up & a little trimming needed. Lots of brushing
