What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: We have a Goldendoodle named Sprocket (we are big Fraggle Rock fans). He is a cream F1 Goldendoodle.
Sprocket has a new brother! An F1b mini Goldendoodle named Gibson (named after the guitar...not whiskey...well maybe both :)

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder, Rehome

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I studied Goldendoodles for years. I was attracted to their personality and their look. They also looked like a drastically enlarged version of my childhood dog.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Sprocket loves long walks, going to the dog park and running in the back yard. He loves chasing his cat siblings, and licking children to death. He also plays hide and seek around the house with his dad.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: A little bit but nothing major

Goldendoodle and Bloat

Hey All,

I just wanted to remind or tell you about bloat.

Sprocket suffered from bloat a couple of weeks ago...twice in 2 days. Luckily he had surgery the first time and his stomach was tacked so the second time although the bloating was much worse, his stomach hadn't flipped. There was no obvious triggers that caused his bloat (i.e. he hadn't eaten, drank or exercised for hours). He had; however, always had digestive issues (or so we think). Also, Sprocket is only 2 years…

After you have been here for awhile you get to know the members and their doodles and it's like talking with friends. There are sometimes tears but more often a few good laughs and oh yes we love blogs especially when our doodles do something funny or unusual. Hope to see lots of you and Sprocket here, I have told every doodle I've met about DK but most don't seem to check out the site.
