What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Yesterday, my husband and I added a new member to our family. Her name is Emma. Emma is a 13 week old chocolate color Labradoodle. She is very sweet, and shy.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I am a child play therapist. I plan to train Emma to be a therapy dog. I chose a doodle because of good temperament.

A little bit but nothing major

here are some things I suggest:

1) join the doodles in need group-- which you have just done-- and keep an eye on listings that you find there. If you find a doodle listed that you are interested in, contact the rescue agency or shelter that is listed with the doodle.

2) fill out an application with IDOG--the nations only doodle focused rescue organization. You can see their available doodles on their site, but people who I have applications will be notified before some doodles are available for the public to see.

3) visit our labradoodle puppies for sale group and our goldendoodle puppies for sale group-- this is where our breeder members can advertise what they have for sale. Some have older puppies. I cannot vouch for all the breeders, because I allow any breeder to advertise who is a member, but I do not do background checks. However there are some very good ones! read my post about health issues in doodles and why choosing a breeder is so important: http://doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/potential-health-problems-in

4) visit our "owner recommended breeders" group -- this is where happy customers who have been to the home of a breeder can recommend they are breeder. This group along with the sales groups should give you a good idea of what to look for in a breeder.

Good luck in your search!
