I was going to purchase my doodle from Cherry Valley but they did not have puppies for August 2008 when I had vacation time. I ended up using Curtis Rist from HudsonDoodles in Hudson NY. Archie is a 5th generation Austrailan Labroodle now 11 months old. He flew to us at 8 weeks old. He was solid chocolate and is now more of a latte color. Audrey
Hi Cindy~ Our puppy is coming from Manor Lake Labradoodles in Washington State. I know they have chocolates and parti colored. There is a link on our page if you have trouble finding them on line. Good luck!!
Thanks for the Romp info. I ended up finding the info berried in this thread... And we went and met other doodles! Thanks again and good luck with your search for a labradoodle.
Hi Cindy, I got my multi-gen Australian labradoodle mini from Sutter Buttes in Yuba City. Brandi the breeder is fantastic. She breeds mediums. She has 4 children under the age of 7 so the dogs get lots of socialization with kids. She totally listened to what I wanted and matched me with the perfect dog. From my experience her prices are more reasonalbe than Harmony or California Labradoodles also so that's just a bonus.
Oh I didn't mean to suggest you wanted a breeding dog...the article "What To Look for In a Breeder" is intended on helping you choose the breeder of your puppy. Most breeders breed for family dogs not breeding dogs. Does that clarify? If you don't adopt from rescue the only other choice is from a breeder so that article was meant to help you pick a reputable one.
Australian labradoodles are MUCH MUCH harder to find in rescue, but if you'd be open to other kinds of labradoodles or goldendoodles then placing an application with IDOG and other rescue groups would be a very very good idea.
Hi Cindy
I noticed in the Nor-cal group that you were looking at the Harmony Labradoodles. When I was starting to look we met with Kiley. She's a great person and her dogs are wonderful. There is also California Labradoodles in Woodside. Her name is Dana and her and Kiley co-own some of the studs.Dana is very warm and friendly too. In the end I got Lucca, my Goldendoodle from Almond Blossom. I liked the look of the Goldendoodle better but it's each person's preference. But with Kiley or Dana you can't go wrong. Thy are very helpful and open to answering questions. Hope this helps. Keep in touch as we are close by in San Mateo.

Since you are looking for a labradoodle I'd be glad to help you. What TYPE of labradoodle are you seeking? Does it need to be non-shed? Do you want a breeder pup or would you consider rescue? If you can answer these questions I can better direct you on where to look =)
