Daniela, thanks again so much for sharing this video! Your story is truly wonderful - you saved Dina and got a surprise bonus doodle out of it! This video is so wonderful and her puppies are so adorable.

Dina gave birth to 11 pups but sadly #11 did not make it. She was born dead as she stuck to long in the birth channel. In the end (after more than 10 hours) there was not enough contraction left. Dina licked her and licked her. We took her away, I tried everything I read on the web in advance (mouth-to-mouth etc.) but it did not help. Dina was crazy and looking for her pup. We gave it back to her, she again licking and licking. We finally took the dead pup away from her. Next day when the little one was long buried in the back of the garden she was still looking for her in all rooms. I guess Dina did not count them one by one but she just knew that one smell was missing... it was very sad. But, with the other 10 newborn pups Dina (and we) had lots of distraction and work to do :-).

No wonder she is tired. How many pups were there?
