I promised a video on this, and here it is. Sorry, that it is so short. I swear, the door is shut and latched, he is just so fast in opening..

Houdini Doodle has met his match!  When I go outside from our kitchen door Riley trys to open the door, he has two things working against all his instense efforts.  lst is the door opens the wrong way.  2nd, we have child proof covers over the door knob, because of our grandkids.  But, my wife laughs when she looks over and he is up and turning the door knob so feverishly with no results.

Hi Charles, Had to show my husband, Steven, your "Houdini Dog" video last night after he came home from work. It goes so fast he had to watch it a couple times too. I just RSVP'D to attend the March, 27th Doodle Romp at Alpha Dog Day Care, are you guys going to go too?

Keeping him challenged isn't the problem. We are older and not really all that active ( because I am lazy ). We don't take him out for the walks he should have. He just lays around and observes everything that is encompassing and effecting his world. He takes everything in and forms a working knowledge of things to come, and usually has the workings of everything down to a tee. For a 11 month old pup, he is pretty mellow and in stride with our activities. But every once in a while, the devil bites him on the ass and he goes bisurke for a short period of time. Actually, when that happens it is funnier than heck. His latest thing is when I am after him for something he shouldn't have in his mouth, he runs to our dining room table. He manages to keep me at the opposite end while he stays at the other end of the table with me chaseing him. My wife ( this time ) happened to be sitting at the table, and after awhile, I said GRAB HIM !!. She did and it was over, and I sure he wasn't ready for that!! But, I know he now has that catalogued and that scenrio will not be repeated. As he will be looking for that the next time.

Opening a closed, latched door in seconds flat!! Now that's AMAZING!! How do you ever manage to keep him challenged?

Thanks for all of your great comments! Riley is very smart, my problem is sending him so many mixed messages!. I don't want him to jump up on people, yet when I come home from work I want him to jump up and greet me. If you challenge his jumping he will immediately back off and stay down, as he should! It is like well what do you really want me to do?

He is jumping over his hurdles, without any coaxing. Just sits there, and jumps over on his own, then I given a treat.
