I call this cut Monty's swimsuit.  It was a breeze to keep him cleaned up after swimming. Every time he came out of the water he would roll in the sand.

No ball.  He never plays with his toys when we go away so I just pack a few from the nearest basket of toys.  He didnt seem to care.  He played this game over and over.  He was so happy to be a retriever!  lol
