I got this lens today from the Ukraine(2/6/2012). It is ~60 years old from the 1950's. I needed a special adapter for my camera to shoot this video, but it did a great job when I got it set up. Cedar makes an appearance at the end.

There is indeed plenty of moss here, especially right now! Can't wait for summer as well. Keep up the great work and post some more videos when you get time!
Thanks for the comment Rich & Sandy. Yes, the lens is old and for old film cameras. I have to do focus and exposure manually, but it does a great job. That's what nice about digital .. you can adjust via trial and error. Living in Oregon, you must see a lot of moss like in the video :o) Longing for some more sunlight so I can give it a try out at the beach.
That is VERY cool! I take it the lens was originally designed for still photography? It gives a wonderful, surreal feel to everything. Nice choice of music as well. In any case, very nice work...thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Janie. I live in a great spot for rain forest videos.
@Linda .. the lens is very light compared to my Canon lenses. Of course, everything has to be done manually and by trial and error. I agree the sharpness is excellent and so to is the bokeh(blur). Cedar is doing fine. She carried that bottle all the way home from there(~1½ miles).
So beautiful and peaceful and dreamlike. I hope my dreams are like that!
That is an amazing video, the sharpness of the lens is quite impressive. I have never heard of a Russian Helios lens. Thank you for posting this. Ceda looks fabulous.
