Our doodle Mila loves to do the same thing, roots around in the snow all the time

Racey does this all the time. Her favorite is for a tennis ball to be thrown into the snow so she can stick her head in the snow and dig for it.

I'm not sure on the snow nose-I live in Alaska and Racey's nose is always black.

My Luna digs "tunnels" with her nose in the snow.  If i clear a path for potty - she will ignore it and pounce in the deep stuff around it.

OMG.... I think they are nuts!! It's very funny to watch... But what are they doing?? Someone told me that they can get snow nose from sticking their faces in the snow all the time and the nose turns white or pale pink.
I think it will eventually go back though....
I'm glad to know its not just my dog... I've never seen any dog do that before. : )

Is this normal doodle behavior... Or does my doodle have a screw loose?!?!
