Lisa, You have to make sure the straps are really tight or they do fall off.  It happened a couple of years ago but fortunately the boot wasn't lost.

I really must get Daisy boots, was worried they would just fall off and get lost in the snow but all that uses them and they seem to stay on well.

Laurie,  Thanks.  You should have seen Haley when I was putting the boots on him.  First boot on, toe down like a ballet dancer but couldn't stand that way when I picked up second foot.  Did the same toe down with each foot.  But when DH threw the ball the boots were forgotten! lol
