Okay this is funny but not really.  Astro has one wiry whisker...really wiry.  When you get poked with it, it is painful.  Does he really need a whisker?  Can I cut it?  Do any other doodles have this?

He only has one? They usually have a few of them on either side of their muzzles. Almost all dogs have them, I think.
I just did a search for dog whiskers; the general concensus seems to be that they are a sensory aide and should not be cut off. Here's one article:

Here's a good photo of typical dog whiskers; easier to see them on dogs that aren't fuzzy faces, lol!

Guinness has quite a few of them and you're right they are very wiry. The groomer cuts them every time she trims his face.
hahaha. This makes me laugh. I can just imagine you cuddling up with him only to be poked by the whisker! lol. I would trim it!
Lilly's gets cut off when she gets groomed, I can't see a groomer going around each one =) I always thought that in cats they act as feelers at night.
