Hello everyone

Grady had his appointment yesterday at the Vets. He did great!

At 10 weeks 1 day he is 14.9 pounds. Wow! This being the case I would like to say the Vet said he is not over weight, and is very solid. I feed him 3 times a day because I am home so I can and he gets lots of exercise. He gets a morning, afternoon and evening feeding, I will go to two times a day at 6 to 9 month area. I let him eat all he wants but only has 30 min. to eat and the bowl is removed. He doesn’t go crazy when I put the bowl out, he will wait some times or just munch a bit.

I did get a reprimand from the Vet for taking him on walks that in her thoughts were to long. I took the GPS out for one of our regular walks. We have averaged about 1.5 miles. She said “one half mile” at a time for a while or at this age would be best. They grow so fast it can cause problems with there joints or hips, if I persisted. He is fine, solid, and healthy, but as a precaution it is worth the effort. I’ll miss the new morning walks for a while. She said at 6 months he should be up for the 2 mile round trip.

We are going to start Grady on his flee and tick treatment. We have a very large Deer population and the Vet said there has been several ticks found on dogs in our area. One poor 11 month old puppy was overcome very sad. (I am guessing lime disease ) I was surprised because I though when the weather got below freezing this was not an issue. We are going to start heart worm in march as the mosquitoes are not an issue and this is were the heart worm parasite comes from.

He got his shots with out even noticing. How come a 15 pound puppy has no issue with shots and a 11/13 year old boys due? :- )

He is sleeping through the night most every night now and has had no accidents since his last. I cant remember how many days 4 or 5?

On his coat, the vet said it was perfect and not to expect it to change. The fact that he has so much poodle in him is why the coat has no sheen. As I said I brush him every few days so no tangles etc. She also taught me to clip his nails. Very easy but its really about understanding what your doing and why. Grady has been scratching at the fire place brick lately.

Ok, I think that’s about it. I hope all is well with everyone and the puppy’s.
Hello All... Bruno is doing great! My son made him a Wii character so they run around the familyroom together! It's really funny to watch..... They also spend alot of time together playing in the snow! Bruno spends alot of time being pushed around the yard in a Wheelbarrow! This is great fun for both of them!

Bruno is currently weighing in at 15.5lbs... I think he will be a pretty big boy, and thats good because our other dog Vuki is a lean 120lbs. Vuki is doing well with Bruno, he just wants to play with him and when he barks it scares Bruno and he hides behind me!

I hope everyone is doing well!
Bruno ia a big boy! Great to hear of the fun! Wii charactor hmm we will have to give that one a shot. I am going to run to the vet on Grady's 12 week/3 month birthday and see what the projected weight is.(12 weeks x 3 + 5 to 10 lbs) Looks like Bruno is doing Great! Thanks for the update!
