She's just shy of 6 months old.  She weighs 34 lbs and she's already brought so much joy to our family!!!  But sadly, it's time for a doggy haircut...  UGH!

Up until now, I've only had toy poodles and I know how to instruct groomers for those little guys.  Not sure what to tell them to do to a Goldendoodle.  Do you shave the feet, like you do a poodle?  I like her face fuzzy, so I won't shave her face.  I don't want her to look like a poodle.  (Trying to be true to her paternal culture too, the Golden Retriever...  lol)

Just wanted to get an idea what everyone else tells the groomers to do to their Goldens.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Here's a great suggestion and one I feel you should definitely stick to... BRING IN A PICTURE! Too many of us have been deeply saddened by the results of many a poor, or should I say misunderstood groomings. I sat with the grooming manager at Petco explaining what I wanted, to show up to pick her up to see NOTHING like what we discussed. YES her paws/toes were shaved... they shaved the bridge of her nose and gave her the dreaded (well at least as for the doodle part) a POODLE POOF! So be very expicit, show a picture and remind them that you are the PAYING cutomer and expect that they respect your wishes. Of course if there is matting, you should remind them to shave as least as possible. (Could you tell I've been disappointed MANY times???? -LOL)
By the way... SHE IS Beautiful!!!!!
Good luck!
Great idea, Shelly. Thanks! (and thanks for the compliment. I think she's beautiful too!!)
