It's a big year for me. My "baby" started first grade today and now both kids will be gone all day. I'm not sure how I feel about this. He is so excited, but my house is so quiet.... I miss them, but know I should be enjoying myself.


My kids are 4 years apart in age. I think he'll be taller than her by next year!


My "baby" off to all day 1st grade.


"OK fine, I'll smile, but I'd still rather stay home with the dogs! Besides, I'm 10 and I know everything."

What a big day for you all!!! I remember the first grade teacher for my middle daughter gave the mom's a little baggie with a poem and a tissue and a tea bag, symbolic of that bitter sweet day. That daughter now starts middle school tomorrow. I could still use that tissue and tea bag. Your children look so sweet, and happy. My 3 go back tomorrow. I'm a school occupational therapist and went back today :(. Enjoy and save those memories! Lisa
