Marissa and Seamus asked me to post this update. They are just so exhausted to write it themselves but they did not want to wait another day to Thank each and every person who wrote words of support and love to them! They both have read every post here on DK and on The DRC. Your words of love, encouragment, and rage have truly helped them.
They also want to thank Jacquie (Yorke - for those of you who do not know she is the Director of the Doodle Rescue Collective). Without your love they just don't know how they would have gotten through last night! You were a tower of strength and calmness and they (and I) will never forget that! There are no words that can truly express how much you are loved by the Matzkin/Tait family!

Update on:

Seamus - the x-rays are negative for broken bones. He just is sprained and bruised, thankfully!

Mickey - seems to be doing better. He is very hesitant to walk near the scene of the accident but with each walk it seems to be a bit easier for him. He was very quiet all day, hiding under the dining room table for a little while. I was just speaking with Marissa and Mickey actually picked up a ball. Little by little…

Update on the driver - still not found but a Sergeant in the Crafton Police Department did come over to their home this afternoon to get more information to update their report. The Police are very motivated and are being vigilant to get this person. They are enlisting the town’s help by sending out a public service announcement asking for information from the public asking for their help. We can only be hopeful they will be successful.

A Reporter with a local paper is writing Seamus and Dublin’s story. It should be in their local paper tomorrow or Tuesday. As soon as I get a copy I will post it.

Again, our entire family thanks each and every one who posted, read and just said a quiet prayer for Dublin, Marissa, Seamus and Mickey. None of us would have had the strength to endure this tragedy without all of you!

Adrianne, I was so very sorry to hear about this tragedy. I am glad Seamus will recover physically. I hope the whole family, including you and Mickey, recover from this psychological trauma soon.
Thanks F! Each day will be a little better. Today, not so much for any of us. I am sure that there a lots of doodles out there that got extra loving today! I know my girls did!
Adrianne, my prayers and thoughts are with you all. I'm glad that Seamus is fine but I will cry for Dublin a very long time. Thank you to Marissa and Seamus for the love and care they give to poor Dublin. I hope justice will be done for him
{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}} and prayers cont. to go out for all of you. I pray they catch that monster, there could of been more of a tragedy than losing Dublin. I pray that someone out there saw all of this and will come forward. Mickey has gone through so much himself and now has to deal with the fear of just going out for a walk. We all love lil Mickey. Will be watching for an update that they caught this person.
I am so glad that Seamus and Mickey are doing OK.
I am so glad that police is taking action to prosecute this driver!
I am so glad that public is going to be aware about rescue animals, the effort that takes place and responsibility of us human for the precious animals.
May Dublin's spirit guide people to be responsible and respectful for the animals and to save many from becoming abused or neglected.

God bless you, Marissa, Seamus, Mickey and Adrianne....
Thanks so much for the update. I worried about all of you all day yesterday! I am so happy to hear that Seamus is going to be fine and sounds like little Mickey will fully recover as well. Hopefully working together the police will bring the person to justice that did this. I am one of those that firmly believes that "What goes around comes around", so even if they aren't caught, they will get theirs as some point! It is just so hard to imagine how someone could just drive away like that .... but then again it is so hard to imagine many things that are going on in our Country right now!
Adrianne, I have read the posts about this terrible incident and I just couldn't find the right words to express how sorry I feel for the whole family and I still can't.
Nevertheless I want you to know that my thoughts are with you.
Adrianne,

I am so sorry for Marissa, Seamus and Mickey, and of course the sweetheart Dublin, and you too, who I know put so much love out there for these wonderful dogs.
(((((((HUGS)))))))
Praying for you all. I am glad that Seamus and Mickey are okay. Thanks for all you and your family do Adrianne.
Just let Marissa and Seamus that they have much support to draw on here on doodlekisses.
All of you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for the update. I didn't want to bother anyone by asking how Seamus was getting along, but I am glad to see an update posted. I will continue praying for his physical recovery, as well as emotional well-being for both he and Marissa (& Mickey), and of course all of you involved in the wonderful rescue efforts taking place. It is a blessing to have volunteers and foster families willing to make a difference. BIG HUGS to you all!!
