Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

My foster is a black goldendoodle who at 8 months seems to be turning colors. She is blowing her puppy coat and I am curious about what might take place with her adult coat.  Her undercoat is mahogany in some areas, brown in others, and even golden retriever  orange.

Any other  black doodles out there that changed coat colors?

Do you have a picture you can show me?

Oh yes, they often are darker down the mid back.
GBK's Kona is a chocolate but she was really really dark - black looking to me at first. Go to her page and see how she has lightened.
Tried Nancy! All her doodles are COVERED in snow. Go figure.

okay I looked this up and............ Your search for "trichorubraphilia" returned no results.
We recommend that you try the following: Check your spelling.

So F. whats that
LOL- I did the same with the same results. I guess I'll have to go with the Latin roots and try to figure it out! Something to do with loving red hair? "Trich" is hair, "rub(r) is red, and "philia" is love or friendship, so....
