Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I got an email from Shelly yesterday about their possible doodle litters this summer available approx July/August!! We are so excited and can hardly stand it!!!! I called Shelly to confirm that we are for sure on the waiting list so I just need to wait to hear from her.

So the 2 pairings that they hope to breed for this summer is Anja/ Casey and Tula/Micah. Are there any doodle parents out there that has a puppy from an Anja/Casey pairing? We have seen the puppies from Tula/Micah but never from Anja/Casey. It will be so hard to decide!!

I don't recall seeing Anja or Casey on their website. Maybe they have some new dogs now. How exciting!
Anja and Casey look great too. You can't go wrong either way. One observation...(and this is personal)...I would go darker in color. Lucca's (Tula/Micah on the lighter side) color takes alot of maintenance partly because he loves to play, roll in dirt or sand, chase water down the street when it rains and LOVES, loves, loves mud:) That's why we love him BUT.... the down side is that he has to get bathed more frequently.... which he doesn't seem to mind at all.
Mochi was one of the lightest color puppy from his litter, he was nearly white color.
Mochi's legs becomes grayish easily so I have to wash his legs with shampoo once every few days, and a bath once a week to keep him clean.
Mochi and Lucca in the picture below, they both rolled in the mud :)

What an adorable picture!! "We had fun, Mom!!"
How cute! Made me smile!
They're almost Fudge's color...lol
I love that Winston is lighter in color, but it is high maintance. And when I add another doodle the color will be dark if at all possible. Anja/ Casey should produce darker babies.
I first saw Casey's picture last January, then Anja's a few months later (?).
There are a few pups here from Estee and Casey, they all look very cute!
I'm sure Anja/Casey will have beautiful pups, but Tula and Anja will each have different type pups. Tula is an English Golden Retriever and Anja, I believe, is an1/2 American and 1/2 English Golden Retriever. In addition to perhaps being able to choose a doodle with a darker coat (Daddy is apricot), you may find that your full grown doodle(with Anja) may be a little 'taller' and leaner. My friend's doodle has an American Golden as her mom, and she is really beautiful with the conventional GR color!! English Golden retrievers tend to be boxier (like Tula/Estee )than their American counterparts, ie: lower to the ground, blockier heads, stocky bodies. Supposedly, the English Retriever is suppose to be more laid back. Clearly, we have established that may not necessarily be true in all cases (since most of us have the Tula/Micah combo)!Ha! I believe, the term "Teddy Bear' goldendoodle is reserved for those that have a 100% English Golden Retriever mom, since that block head is what gives them the 'bear' appearance! You will probably also find that Shelly and Julie will charge a little more for the Tula/Micah combo, since not a lot of breeders offer the true "TeddyBear Goldendoodle'.
Either way, I am soo excited for you!! Whichever type puppy you choose will be sensational! AlmondBlossom is a great breeder!
Liza brought up many good points that I never thought of. i was just looking at the color. I LOVE the teddybear and boxy GD look. They are very special and soooo cute. But again, any doodle from ABD will be wonderful.
All great points! This will be a tough decision. I am just excited that we will have a choice!
Rosie's dad is Casey and her mom is Estee. You can see some pictures of her that I have posted. She is not white, more of a golden retriever color and has less curly hair than her friend Monty who is a Tulah/Micah offspring.
