The Doodle Messenger: Help for doodles with medical needs
In order to assist owners of doodles with major medical needs find financial help, some nice folks on the Doodle Zoo (a doodle discussion forum) have put together a website: The Doodle Messenger
From perusing the site, my understanding is that it is NOT a non-profit as no money goes through their hands. The role of the site is more of a place of communication about specific doodles in need as well as a place to recognize those who give to these doodles (including businesses, individuals, veterinarians, etc).

Dr. Judy and her Board have put a LOT of time and effort into this hopefully helpful site to help Doodles and their families when they need it most. The Doodles and their families are so fortunate to have them on their side. The web site is going to be updated very soon. And you are right, Adina...all /any $$ donated to a sick doodle goes directly to the dog's veternarian's office to help a little here or there with the illness.
I hope it is a big success for everyone involved.
