With Sadness We Report The Loss Of Couch

Not  yet.  We just couldn't bare to loose this beauty.  Maybe next Sunday night?   Couch has led a meaningfull life. To just throw it to the curb after all it has done? What are we going to do?

Often on DK there are discussions that ask if you permit your doodles on the furniture.   Many of you know about Couch.  I have mentioned Couch but I try very hard not to post pictures  taken with Couch as a background.  It is embarrassing but such an important part of daily life.     I was once DARED to post a picture of the doodle Couch...... and of course I did, but it was so hard to do. 

Couch serves a good purpose. For the dogs it provides  rest, a place to stash their toys and a view to the all important outside world.    Our new baby, Starlit, loves to hide her head underneath the cushions and puppy bark.  She thinks Spud can't find her there. 

Most important--it keeps the dogs off the real furniture. They stay off our couch  :) 

But honestly-- I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! 

So here is my final tribute to Couch. 

 R. I. P COUCH.  GOOD RIDDANCE.

That is funny because just this week I was driving to my moms and I saw an old couch sitting in someones driveway for the trash man ..... I thought man I should stop and get those cushions because I could make dog beds out of those. That stuffing and filling is expensive! I didn't, but am regretting it.

Just as well; sofa cushions are a wonderful place for flea & lice eggs to hide. Who knows what's in someone else's sofa?

Funny, funny, funny!!! I should be getting a ton of work done around the house before picking up my kids from school, but I have been sidelined with this timely, newsworthy topic. I am so thankful that I can go online and spend my valuable time perusing such important information. When I attend my next FA (Furnituraholics Anonymous) meeting I will share this thread- it will make me feel much better about not having time to feed my family!

This couch episode and Karen's reply has brightened my day. May Couch comfort you during your biofeedback hours of reminiscence. Gosh, this really is too MUCH. But shouldn't we all aspire to be Couch's, a place of learning, comfort and fun?

I am laughing so hard at this! And when you look at the google ads on the right, there are ads for slipcovers and La-Z-Boy recliners! HAHAHAHA! Just get a slipcover! It will look so much better and you won't have to kick Couch to the curb!

I think you could at least keep a cushion or two, just to remember D. Couch by, at least for awhile. Time heals all wounds, and one day you will be able to look back at all this and smile, remembering all the comfort D. Couch once gave.
In memory, I would cut and frame a piece of the rattiest, the part that gave of itself the most, and hang it where Spud and Starlit could see it, lest they forget.

Joanne, Spud, and Starlit....I really want to thank you for this post. I'm sure you didn't realize it when you put this out on DK that you would bring smiles and laughter from DKrs all over the country (possibly the world - I didn't check). For the past couple of days I have been getting my "jollies" from the post and all the hysterical comments. It doesn't take much these days. For years to come, when I see someone's couch out on the curb I will think back to this and laugh.
