I am thinking about trying a Doga (Doggie Yoga) class with Cooper. Has anyone taken one of these classes? I guess they involve a lot of massaging and petting and stretch for Coop and some stretching and strength for myself....sounds perfect?
Looks like there are also a couple of videos and books you can do at home. Has anyone tried those?
Just curious if anyone has tried it, and if so, what you thought.

Hi Christina,
I tried doggie massage with my doodle with involved quite a bit of yoga poses. Warning.... My doodle is pretty tall and I'm short. Many times, you have to straggle your doodle and partially lift them under their armpits. I was straddling the dog and she couldn't stand up. I was way to short and she was tooo tall for me. there were modifications. I saw other dog owners with much smaller dogs who were having better luck acheiving the poses! I was laughing so hard at us, it was tough to concentrate on anything else! have fun,Eva
Then maybe it would work for me then since Peri is smaller than me! But I haven't found any place in Nashville! I would love to do Doga and have mentioned it to DH and he thinks I have pretty much lost my mind. I always compliment my dogs on their great yoga poses - I say "what a good upward dog" and stuff like that.
Let me know if you end up doing it. I wonder if Peri would even let me do this kind of thing with her...she can get pretty hard headed =)
I have not tried the classes, but I've heard they're pretty fun. They offer Doga from time to time at one of our local small dog boutiques. Let us know how it goes....
No, but my trainer is just starting one. We are taking the basic manners class right now. If you do it, please let me know what you think. I would be very interested in what you thought. Thanks !!
