It's an hour and a half drive for me each way, but I am planning to be there, escorted by a very large and handsome blonde male of the doodle persuasion.
We had originally planned to be there with our doods, Calli and Cooper, but hope to be picking up our third doodle that day!!! We're adopting Lexi from a Golden Retriever Rescue in St. Louis!!! She has a lot of the same features of both our other ones, but aren't completely convinced she doesn't have another ancestry in her. We're planning to have her DNA checked, partly because we're curious, but also because we want to know for potential health issues from any other breed she may have in her. We are naming her Lexi and she is just as sweet as can be!
Thanks! I can see where you get the Aussie guess from! Her former owners said she was Golden Retreiver and Standard Poodle. They surrendered her because she was "chewing" on their 3 and 5 year old kids. Ummm... she's a puppy!!! Duh!!! She's going to chew, and if she's not redirected to chew on things that are appropriate, of course she'll chew on anything or anyone she can! They obviously were not puppy people, but that's ok because she's ours now! She was supposed to be spayed today, so as long as she's recovering well, we'll likely pick her up on Saturday.
Nice rescue, by the way. Very well organized, clean, friendly and knowledgable volunteers, and lots of them. They list through petfinder.com. Dirks Fund. We highly recommend.
Well I know there is a restroom available.....
I thought this was too funny not to share, looks like Mr. third in line is a little white Doodle..
I brought our own water for the doodles last year. I did not see any facilities around where we hung out, off to the right of the entrance. Off to the left from the main entrance and over to the other side I know is the restrooms, so ......hopefully someone else knows, sorry Karen that I can't be more helpful. See ya Sat!
Unfortunately, there isn't water in the dog park. We just bring bowls and jugs from home and all are welcome to share.
Since you will be joining us for the first time, watch for our signs, and once in the park follow the signs to the dog area. Once you enter the fencing into the dog area go to the right. The large expanse is off to the left. We head right to a smaller area where we gather and basically have the place to ourselves.
Sounds like we will be blessed with a sunny day. The forecast is for lots of doodles romping, people meeting, chatting and enjoying all our beautiful doodles.
