I'm jealous - Irish and I can't make it even though we would drive 2 1/2 hours - we are here in Wisc. Rapids. Due to a wedding we can't make the drive down but please, please plan another so we could attend. Better yet plan the next one closer to Rapids.
Abby, Randy and Liz are looking forward to Sat......Monica is also coming with Gracey....And June with her new Golden Doodle puppy and Joy ( Abby and Gracey's Mom)...One big happy Doodle family..Looks like great Doodle weather on Sat. 55 and sunny...See you soon.....
Well, I left the house at 11:20 with my maps, water jugs, video camera, tennis balls, etc., bound and determined to attend the romp. In spite of my agoraphobia, and the fact that I haven't driven a highway in years, I had thought I could do this. I failed.
I made it over the Wisconsin border (barely) before a major panic attack set in, and I had to turn back. I am so sorry and so sad. (And so is Jackdoodle) I hope that everyone who attended had a wonderful time.
We just got home.. sorry we missed you Karen...Wish you could have called us, stopped and had a coffee/tea/your preference :) We have terrible road construction right over the border, the entrance to the highway was not there, so we were late ourselves. NEXT romp you will have to stop in by us, travel playing follow the leader. Last year this worked out for Nicole, ask her....I wouldn't lose ya, lol. Give Jackdoodle a big hug, from my girls too, they would have loved to meet him!
We did miss you. Several Doodle Kisses members were hoping to meet up with you too. I can vouch for Debbie, she would have been the perfect travel buddy.
It is crazy right there and our highway is a mess. So let's definitely make plans for next romp Karen, cuz we have to get you guys there! I am glad Bri drove today, I may have done the same thing as you when I didn't see an entrance ramp, and the thick crazy traffic.... So glad you made it back safe and sound. :)
I am so sad about missing it. Next time I will have to get my DD or someone else to drive. I really wanted to meet all of you & your doodles. Lynn was there with Sadie & Molly, who I fostered before Lynn adopted her, and I am so disappointed about not seeing her again, too.
Thanks for organizing such a great romp today. My husband and I had so much fun meeting other doodle owners and our girls are probably knocked out for the night after all of the running they did in the park. It was nice to meet you as well as many others today. Looking forward to the next one already!
