Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Two of the main characters were considering buying a puppy and they were looking at goldendoodles!  They made an untrue statement... but goldendoodles were referenced, which always makes me smile. :o)

One said that he highly doubted goldendoodles need rescuing.  Not true.... and I immediately thought of all the full time rescuers yelling at the T.V.  I wish the writers had done more research.  Cool that our doodles were mentioned, not cool that it left the impression that doodles aren't in shelters or foster homes.

I'm always amazed at the lack of research into a topic covered on TV shows. I think the last ridiculous thing I saw was when watching The Office and the baby had just been born. Something totally off about breastfeeding was said and I couldn't help but wonder WHO researches these things!? They obviously have no breastfeeding cast members!

When is Brothers and Sisters on? I haven't watched tv in so long I don't know what is on and when anymore. DK and Netflix takes up my evening time =)
Geesh, and to think I've been getting medical updates on things like ER for years : ) Of course, I think House, which I only saw a few times, was so unrealistic that i couldn't watch anymore.
I LOVE House!!! Sure it's incredibly unrealistic, but it's soooo entertaining!
ME TOO! I don't care how unrealistic the medical stuff is...I LOVE HOUSE and always have great withdrawal between Netflix DVD arrivals. I'm anxiously awaiting Season 6 when it finally arrives in Netflix land.
How can it be OK to have fellows or residents that perform medical procedures from A to Z, go to people's homes to do investigations, do MRIs and other scans and basically work in every department of the hospital? This is not reality. Nor is it reality to have a new patient every week, who comes in with a potentially fatal, extraordinarily rare condition whose treatment may cure or kill him? Not to mention a physician hooked on painkillers who is so abusive to patients and other people it's a wonder he's still alive. And you are worried because someone doubts hat goldendoodles need rescue. I must be missing something.
LOL...it's TV F Parker. Don't ruin my fantasy!

but House is supposed to be all mostly fantasy in a way. The whole show rides on an unrealistic premise (just like fantasy movies and sci fi) so you buy it as a whole package. But when a 'realistic' show throws in a wrong fact it throws you off.

I used to have patients with odd issues now and then and my first instinct was "dang...if only Dr. House could see her/him!"
I'm not sure what you mean by amazing but the hospital looked pretty real to me.
Adina, I have to agree with you, I love House, not because it is real, it is just a great show, ( to me anyway), I love the characters, and of course after being a nurse for 30 years, I too chuckle at the things they do, but I love House himself, lol, so I just treat it for what it is a T.V. show and nothing more....Of course when I hear of a weird case or story, I always too wish that Dr. house was around to crack the case....
10:00 in our time zone. If you miss it, you can watch it online tomorrow. It'll be on ABC's website.
I recently corresponded with the director of a municipal shelter who was surprised to hear that there are rescue group for doodles. She did not realize there was a need for doodle rescue either, and this is a person who runs a shelter in the midwest!
How silly of her. EVERY breed needs rescue at some time or another.
We should all write ABC a letter with a link to poomixrescue, drc, and idog!!!!!! They'll get the picture!
