Banjo is 4 months old now and has grown SOOOO much!  He's already 22lbs and the vet thought he would double his weight!  We were surprised to hear this as the breeder said he'd be about 30-35lbs.  Just wondering what size other minis are.

Our Barney is 2 years old and runs about 30 lbs......
Buddy is 4 months old and was 15 pounds at the vet. Supposed to get to be around 25-30 pounds.
At 7 months old, Allie was 18 pounds. She is now 8 months old and I am guessing she is around 20 pounds now because I had to let out her collar. Allie's sister is about 5 pounds heavier than she is, so it can be different even in the same litter.
Belle is 16 lbs and at almost a year and a half is full grown. At 4 months, she was 6 lbs. so I would guess that your vet is probably right about him doubling his weight at one year.
Gracie is 2 years old and 29-30 lbs.

This looks just like Henna. She was 5.8 at 2 months, and is 14.2 now at 4 months! It's great to be able to guess her final weight using your data. Thanks :)

Hey Carol & Banjo,

We thought so also when we had Charlie our Mini Golden Doodle. We were told that he would probably be somewhere's between 30-35 lbs and he turned out to be 50lbs.....It's all good though, we love him so much and are in the thinking stage now of getting another....

He is now 2 years old.
I have a feeling we'll be close to that size here too! We love Banjo more than either of us imagined possible! Little or Big he's our "guy"! : )
It is more height than weight that determines their classification. Ned is 17" tall and weighs 27 pounds (technically the height makes him a medium). Clancy is 19" tall and weighs 55 pounds (technically the height makes him a medium also). When Ned had his coat really long, people would say that their wasn't much difference between them, but that isn't so. Ned has a more delicate, poodle type body and Clancy has a huge head and chest. My guess is that Banjo won't be a mini but then if I guessed at what Clancy was - by weight, I would assume he was a standard and My guess about Ned would be mini.
Can you tell what the classifications are for mini vs medium? If it is the height, then what is the maximum height for a mini? My Cooper is about 14" now. He seems to have a long body with short legs. You measure them at the shoulders right?
Angus will be 3 in August. He's about 34 lbs. Perfect for me. Just a wonderful little guy. I got him from the Paw Pad in Deer Creek, Ill. Still small enough to be a lap dog.
OOPs! I answered (from work so I wasn't paying attention closely) and my doodles aren't goldendoodles. Sorry. My information about height may not be pertinent to goldendoodles at all.
