Jasper has yellow green liquid coming out of one eye only. I am trying warm Chamomile teabags at the moment. What causes this and what else could I try before running to the Vet again?

I think you are going to have to see the vet. Greenish yellow discharge usually indicates a bacterial infection, and that requires antibiotics. Chamomile may be soothing, but it isn't going to kill bacteria. I wouldn't risk an eye infection getting worse or spreading.
I have to see the Vet soon for the Yeast ear check up anyway. Thanks Karen!
I had trouble with Toby's eyes last summer. One eye got the goopy stuff, and it was just before a vet visit, which was good timing. She prescribed VETROPOLYCIN, which I'm sure has anti-biotic (polycin at end of any drug seems to be some kind).
Anyway, it's a squeeze tube, not a drop, he still didn't care for it, but not terrible to get in. She said it could be from many things, like head out window in spring, or playing ball in the yard and dirt in the back. I used it every time I saw one of his eyes was red for a couple days, and used until redness was gone and 1 day after.

This year I asked for another tube, I was told it had tripled in price, and i could use regular visine or liquid tears like daily. I haven't used the visine.. i'm afraid it will burn his eyes, she said no, but... the liquid tears in drops weren't to bad. If it gets goopy, I'll take him in again.
So Like Karen and Jack, I would for sure see a vet, but hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Dogs also sometimes paw at their faces if they're itchy, or something gets in their eye, and considering how much dirt and germs they might have on their feet, that's another way they can get an eye infection.
He also could have a blocked tear duct which is simple to take care of. Either way, he needs to see a vet. I wouldn't want to mess around with eyes. He probably just has some bacteria in there and needs an antibiotic drop.
I agree with the consensus. Sounds like an infection and unless you have some antibiotic eyedrops on hand you need to see the vet.
Just took Jasper to the Vet. The eye discharge is connected to his ear infection. Same ear as eye. To clear up his ear problem we are now on Antibiotics, ear drops and Cortisone tabs. Hope this won't turn into another seizure! Don't want my "natural trial" spoilt. Hmmmmm!

Keeping fingers and paws crossed that the meds will clear up the infection, and Jasper will stay seizure free!
The vet told me dogs have three eyelids. I can see Coach's third eyelid and his eyes are red quite often The vet gave me meds for the redness. Does anybody else have this problem?
I talked more with my vet and he said Coach has lab eyes. He didn't get the poodle eyes!!!
Our 5 yr old labradoodle Sadie, has an ear infection that is constantly reoccurring. It gets so bad have to get her compounded meds. We have her groomed usually every 6-8 weeks and her ears are plucked of hair. The vet said she's the hairiest dog she's ever seen. She has to go in every week for them to administer the meds deep in her ear. It seems to be working, but now she has an eye infection on the same side. Her eyes were red and ugly looking. Now the right eye is better but the left eye is downright gross. Vet said her third eyelid is down. And protecting her eye.
My question is how do we stop her from getting so many ear infection and I guess the eyes too. it's getting very expensive taking her in every week and for all the Meds. I wish I could help her. She looks and acts so miserable.

Diane, this is really a matter to discuss with your vet. Nobody here is qualified to diagnose or treat these infections. If you are not satisfied with the way your vet is handling it, you may want to seek a second opinion.
