Jennifer, I noticed your dog is five months old. What stage of housebreaking are you at now? This is a pretty open ended question, so if we know what you've been doing and how that's working it will be easier to help.
we let her outside in the yard she goes to the bathroom we give a praise by saying good girl then we give her a treat
How often are you taking her out, and is she still having accidents in the house? How does she signal you that she needs to go out?
You need to go with her, if your not, and maybe on a leash. Bring a super high treat that she doesn't normally get. Consistency is the key.
I agree with the taking them out on a leash when you are potty training. That way the focus stays on potty and not everything else around. Try and take them to the same spot each time and say your "potty word" what ever that is. I personally just say "go potty". Mine are 2 years old and I still take them out to potty on a leash. That's because I want to know that they have gone, I want it to be a quick process, and I don't want to have to give them (and my house) a bath every time they go potty. Then, lots of praise and super good treat anytime there is success.

If you are having trouble with them going in the house you need to be sure that you are thoroughly cleaning any spots where pee has happened in the house with a product like "Natures miracle" to completely remove the smell from the area, or they will continuously potty in the house.
