I'm reading (non-fiction) "Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the inner soul" by Robert Waggoner. It's fascinating! I'm learning how to focus my attention in my dreams. I've been able to find my hands and say, "I'm dreaming this" but then I get so excited I snap out of the dream. Very cool stuff (if you're into that sort of thing).
I always look into "Dream Dictionary" to see what it means to dream about certain things!! A Lot of times, it seems to be true!!

Linda,,,,are you an avid dreamer?  I have Dreamgates by Rob't Moss on my night table and have participated in a few of his on line forums. I am VERYinto "that sort of thing". In fact, a dream I had a couple of nights after my lab passed helped me tremendously with my grieving process. I feel very strongly in the healing and intuitive powers of dreams.

Susan - thank you so much for telling me about Robert Moss and Dreamgates! I'm fascinated by this topic! I'm happy to hear that you're dream was able to help you get thru the grieving process of your Lab passing. Having lost my Siberian Husky this year, I understand your pain. And yes, I'm an avid dreamer! Full length movies! ha! What's really bizarre is that if I see a mirror, windowpane, or anything with a reflective surface, I will step aside from whatever I'm doing in my dream to gaze at my reflection and see if it's "me" in this dream (the way I look now) or another version of me... perhaps a past life memory? Sometimes I'll say, "Ah, it's ME." Othertimes, I will say, "Wow, I have green eyes and beautiful, long black hair in this dream. And look how tall/short/thin/heavy I am." Then I'll go back to where I left off in my dream. I also have a recurring elevator dream in which it begins to tilt and spin out of control. I used to wake up with my heart slamming with fear. Now, I simply ride it out, and will even turn to others who are in the elevator with me and say, "Don't worry - this is just my elevator dream. It will pass. We'll be OK." LOL!

Have you read "Many Lives, Many Masters: The True Story of a Prominent Psychiatrist , His Young Patient, and the Past-Life Therapy That Changed Both Their Lives"? I have it on CD (narrated by Dr. Weiss). It's fascinating.

Wow!  You have some great dreams.  I love your elevator dream.

I read this also and enjoyed it greatly! I grew up in Memphis, and parts of it really resonated with me!
I grew up in Memphis and stayed. Loved, loved, loved The Help. Just finished To Kill A Mockingbird. Also awesome. I remember reading it in high school.
Hi Leigh - fellow Memphian! Where did you go to HS there? I went to G'town.
A bit embarrassed.......... I just now saw this. I went to Hutchison but I have a friend who went to Germantown. Do you know Brad Pate? He graduated in 89 I believe. When did you graduate?
Youmean Elviswasn'tthe only person who lived in Memphis :)
I loved the Help. It was great.
I read "A Walk In the Woods" many years back, enjoyed it tremendously. He has a great sense of humor.
