The best one is "My Sister's Keeper".
Yes this was a good one Linda!
Loved Hosseini's books as well! You might also like The Saffron Kitchen by Crowther Yasmin....very powerful book. I've gone through periods of RAD in my lifetime....guess it's the flow of life.
I am gong to look for The Saffron Kitchen the next time I am at B & N, thanks!!
I loved both of those Khalid Hosseini books. Saw the movie after I read the book, and it followed pretty well, but I was glad I had read the book first.
The Kite Runner is one of my all time favorites. When I finished it I wanted to write Hosseini and tell him thank you. I liked A Thousand Splendid Suns, but it was just a tiny bit less wonderful than Kite Runner.
The Kite Runner is one of my all time favorites.  I wanted to write Hosseini and tell him thank you for writing it.  I liked A Thousand Splendid Suns, but it wasn't as perfect as The Kite Runner.  I suggest reading Suns first.
I am reading "Merle's Door" right now. I think it is an excellent book. Very well written. But I am partial, I love books about dogs, "Marley & Me" (read too many times, I lost count), "Darkest Night of the Year", "Saving Gracie", "Edgar Sawtell" and many more...
Ops sorry, it should be "Darkest Evening of the Year" by Dean Koontz.
Julie have you read Watchers by Dean Koontz? It has a golden retriever named Einstein as one of the central characters. For the longest time after I read this book I wanted a golden retriever so badly. I'm a big Dean Koontz fan.
Oh, I loved that book. One of the first books of Koontz I read. We used to have a golden too.
Yes! That's one of my favorites, too! :)
